Duane Erisman grew up in West Milton, Ohio, and graduated in 1977. Shortly after, he met the love of his life, Cathy, who brought two wonderful sons, Steve and Jim, into the mix. Duane dedicated many years to working at Command Roofing, where he was known as a hard-working blue-collar guy who took immense pride in everything he did. His perfectionism was evident in his family life, his work, and even in the little projects he tackled around the house. When he wasn't busy working, Duane loved hitting the golf course, cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers every Sunday, and passionately supporting the UD Flyers. But above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Psalm 23 was his favorite scripture, and he cherished reciting the Lord's Prayer with his grandchildren. Duane fought a courageous battle with cancer, showing incredible strength and resilience throughout. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. We love you, Papa! And Jesus loves you too! He always wanted to be involved in everything his grandchildren did, especially when it came to cheering them on at their sports games. His greatest wish was to ensure that Jesus was a part of their lives. There was no better gift Papa could give than the knowledge that Jesus loves them. Great job, Papa! You truly succeeded! Duane is survived by his wife, Cathy (Elmore); sons Steve (wife Emily) Erisman and Jim (wife Amy) Erisman; and 8 grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Gavin, Hailie, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Meghan, Brooklyn, Landon, and Braylen. He is also survived by his father and mother, Darrell and Paula Erisman, and his mother, Drucilla Sparks. Siblings include Terri (husband Leo) Dunkle, Toni Flint, Todd (Patricia) Erisman, Chad (wife Cathy) Erisman, and Michael (wife Nicki) Sparks. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Sparks, and his grandparents, Paul and Grace Erisman, and Clarence and Mary Hayden.
