Duane Keller, age 65, of Jackson, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at his residence. He was born November 9th, 1959, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Donna Keller and the late Marvin Keller.

Duane attended Teays Valley High School through his junior year and then moved to Jackson, Ohio in 1977 where he graduated from Jackson High School in 1978. Duane excelled in athletics.

His career path took him from the steel mills to factory work, and subsequently he retired from Austin Powder where he drove a semi loaded with explosives into various mines throughout the United States.

Besides his mother, Donna, Duane is survived by his wife, Freida (Fields) Keller; his sister, Lee Ann (Mark) Knewasser; as well as several nieces and loving cousins.

In addition to his father, Marvin, he was preceded in death by infant sister, Terri Renee.

Duane’s memory will live on in those who knew the fun loving, kind spirited person God created.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 15th, 2025, from 11AM-12PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A graveside service will follow at German-Salem Cemetery with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
