Duane Roberts Obituary
Duane Edward Roberts, 71, of Forest, Virginia, passed away on March 30, 2025. He was the son of the late Hal Virgal Roberts and Helen Cornelia Roberts.
He was born on June 9, 1953, in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended school in Virginia and Florida and then moved to Florida until 2023. He worked in the real estate business for many years.
While in Florida, Duane adopted Michael and Martin and is survived by them today. While in Florida, Duane was also born again, he and his brother Don were saved on July 23, 1975. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ and his family very much.
He is survived by his children, Martin Roberts (Basya) and Michael Roberts (Ruby); siblings, Gary Roberts and Janice Roberts Pugliese; nephew, Nathan Roberts; and nieces, April Sargeant and Brittney Detweiler.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Don Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the organization Samaritan’s Purse.
A funeral service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 3:30 PM. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
