Duane "Duke" William Timm, age 79, of Lac Courte Oreilles, walked on peacefully, Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Duke was born July 18, 1944, in Chicago, IL the son of William and Bertha (Johnson) Timm. He took on several adventures in life from the Vietnam war to racing powerboats for the USPBA. Duke loved to go fishing, golfing and play the penny slots at the casino.
He is survived by his wife Mary; and son Mark of Rockford, IL.
Duke was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lance Timm; and sister Carol Isham.
A Graveside Service will be held at Whitefish Cemetery in the spring with Military Honors accorded by LCO AMVETS Post #1998.
Don't stand by my grave and weep, for I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I'm the diamonds glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. Don't stand by my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die.

Sincere condolences to the family. Duke was a good human being and a gentleman. Although I had not seen him in years, I will always remember him as one of the good guys. Fly high Duke!
