Duane V. Todd, age 87, of Beaverton, formerly of Alma and Carson City, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland.
Duane was born May 26, 1937, in Carson City, the son of Paul and Helen (Valentine) Todd. He graduated from Carson City High School. He served in the Army National Guard. Duane married Sandra Edwards on October 4, 1968. He and Sandy had over 62 years of marriage together before her passing in 2020. Duane married Barbara Drudi on July 22, 2023. He worked as a dairy farmer and at Edmore Tool and Grinding for many years.
He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge and OES, Carson City Chapter #271. Duane joined the Carson City Chapter in 1969. He loved to make people happy and did that as a member of the Calliope Clowns with the name O-NO. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Todd, daughter Jane and son Dean, brother Dale and Mary Todd, their children Carolyn and Eric, brother-in-law Bruce's wife Wanda, their children, Mark and Denise Edwards, Penny and Russel Grinnell, and their many children. Also surviving are his stepchildren Tom (Rhonda) Berry, Kristine (Elliott) Herring, five step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Sandra, brothers-in-law Bruce and Larry and nephew Kevin Todd.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 2 pm at the Doig Chapel, Masonic Pathways, Alma with visitation from 1 pm until the time services. Interment will be in Mt. Holly National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Masonic Pathways. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
