Duke Lawrence Dunn

Duke Lawrence "Dukie" Dunn, age 78, Harrodsburg, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at his home. Born April 22, 1947 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Charles Henry and Rosella (Smith) Dunn, Sr. He was a 1966 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, then became a factory worker for Hall Mack and a 15-year employee of Kroger, both in Harrodsburg. He loved watching sports, especially the Louisville Cardinals and the Pittsburg Steelers. Duke was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church where he was also a Trustee.

Survivors include three daughters Karen White, Carla Dunn, and Latoya Dunn all of Harrodsburg; two brothers Charles Henry Dunn, Jr. of Harrodsburg and William Fields of Millersburg; a half-sister Sarah Lewis of Lexington; four grandchildren Brianna (Christopher) Ward, Kendrick (Brittany) Dunn, Logan (Makenzie) Dunn and Caleb Dunn all of Harrodsburg; six great grandchildren Isaac Ward, Jeramiah Ward, Kingston Dunn, Amaya Dunn, Ryleigh Dunn and Michah Ward all of Harrodsburg; a special niece Savannah Rose Wofford of Alaska, a special nephew Germaine Dunn of Elk Horn, KY; several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was also survived by his very best friend Mary Frances Dunn of Harrodsburg. Duke was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Wofford and his sister-in-law Janice Dunn.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Centennial Baptist Church by Pastor Donald Wayne Smith and Dr. Phillip A. Yates. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are Germaine Dunn, Christopher Ward, Trevor Short, Kendrick, Logan and Caleb Dunn. Honorary bearers are the Silver Sneakers and the Men's Group of the Centennial Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Centennial Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Centennial Baptist Church Building Fund, 291 West Lane, Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330.
