Duong Ngoc Pham
November 5, 1946 – December 23, 2023
In The Care of Columbia Funeral Home
Duong Ngoc Pham passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 23, 2023 at the age of 77 in his home in SeaTac, WA after having survived a heart attack in July of this year. Due to multiple organ failure, he was put on dialysis after learning that his kidneys have failed. He was on dialysis for the past 5 months until his body finally gave up in the last week before he passed. He was born in Saigon, Vietnam on November 5, 1946 to the late Thang Ngoc Pham and Mui Thi Bui. He was married to Lan Thi Do in January of 1970 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Lan Thi Do, and four children: Paul Pham, Lisa Knippel (and husband Dennis Knippel), Adriana Pham, and Steve Pham (and wife Phap Nguyen) and four grandchildren: Merrick Knippel, Greyson Knippel, Mason Ise, and Sienna Ise.
Almost ten years after the fall of Saigon, Duong and his family emigrated to the United States in the winter of 1985, eventually settling in Seattle, WA to rebuild a new community and home in a new country where he lived for over 35 years. He obtained an Associates degree at Seattle Central Community College and was hired by Boeing shortly after. He was a hard worker and was always a provider for his family. He worked as an electrician at Boeing for many years and eventually retired at the age of 62. During his retirement, he spent much of his time traveling back and forth to Vietnam and collected antiques. He had a passion for watches and would collect them and sell them at the flea market. He will be dearly missed.
All who knew and loved him are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, December 30th 2023 from 1:00-3:00pm at the following:
