Leon Sanders

Leon Sanders, 75 years old, passed away on January 29th, 2026 in Seattle, WA.

Born on September 27th, 1950 to W. Don and Jeanne Sanders, Leon grew up in Renton, WA where he attended St. Anthony School and Renton High School.

He went on to attend Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and worked the majority of his career as the Western Washington Territory Manager for Lifetouch National School Studios. Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication to the Catholic Church, baseball, golf, and, later, Gonzaga basketball.

Above all, Leon was a devoted Catholic, son, loving father, and proud grandfather. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his family - especially at weekly Mass and holiday gatherings. He had a deep love for baseball, golf and travel.

He is survived by his siblings Daphne and Steve; his children D.B., Jason and KC; and his grandchildren Colbie, Sydney, Kayla, Kyler, Cole and Ezra. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Don and Jeanne, brother Daunt and sister Dianna.

A memorial service will be held on February 21st at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his "personality that filled a room," and his passion for faith and family.
