Dustin Jared "Dusty" Chrisope, loving son, brother, uncle and friend, returned home November 18, 2022. He was born on October 2, 1978 and was welcomed into the arms and hearts of his parents Gerald Scott and Sharon Jean (Shadoan) Chrisope. He was preceded in death by his brother Brenden. He has a sister Shar, brother Sean, brother-in-law Scott and a large extended family.
Dusty lived a full and active life and knew many people who all adored and loved him. He was a people person, and could make a friend with anyone. Nobody was a stranger to Dusty.
Dusty, artist and entrepreneur, had his own business painting bird houses and making fleece tie blankets. He would customize the bird houses for each of his customers by hand drawing their request and then painting it. He loved to go shopping for fabric and art supplies, he would purchase different fabrics with unique prints. He loved to spend his money, but he did enjoy making money as well. Even though Dusty did enjoy making money, he loved giving even more!
When Dusty first participated in Special Olympics, he ran track. His mom and dad were right there in the bleachers cheering him on. As soon as he approached where they were sitting, he would turn his head towards them and give them a great big smile! He won a variety of medals from third place, to second place, and the gold medal for first place. He was very proud of himself and so were his parents.
Dusty was also proud of serving as a missionary for his church. He served a Service Mission in the Bishop's Storehouse.
He loved shopping for fabric and art supplies. He also enjoyed going to movies, playing video games, watching TV. One of his favorite activities was keeping contact with others, especially "the adorable Eila" on his phone. For a special night with his parents, he enjoyed sitting in his recliner, eating pizza and watching the Hallmark Christmas movies; it did not matter the time of year because he enjoyed them all year long. During the Christmas season, you could find Dusty the elf helping Santa and Mrs. Claus. He had his own elf outfit and was always ready to go!
Sharing of Memories will be held at 9:15am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 10am at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 110 W. Morningside Drive in Midwest City, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
If you send flowers or plants, or bring them to the service, please avoid Poinsettias. A family member has a severe allergy to them.
