Dusty passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved family after 14 months of battling lung cancer, that eventually consumed his whole body.
He will be remembered by all who love him for his big personality, quirky sense of humor and his unconditional love for his close family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always ready for a good time and a cold beer! There were two things in his life that he loved more than anything, his Wife and his Harley, sometimes not in that order. J
Those left behind to remember him are his wife Heather, his dog Sky, his daughter Angellica (Jeffrey) Knoke, son Gene Rideeoutte, numerous family members and way TOO MANY to name friends.
Dusty's wishes were to be cremated and to have a big party and bonfire in honor of him at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Mission Cancer + Blood, 100 East Grand, Des Moines, IA 50309 in honor of Dustin Dixon.

Dusty will always be in my thoughts along with all the memories from the years he was in my life. The day he introduced me to Heather I knew he would be with her the rest of his life. Didn't know that it would be so soon. My heart goes out to Heather and the rest of the family. Love ya always, Patti & LeRoy Hanna
