It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Dustin Alan Jockell, age 48, of Louisville, KY on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Dustin was the owner and operator of Immortal Home Improvements, LLC, and a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and fast cars, especially his 1969 "Purple" Roadrunner. He had a knack for making friends and always making everyone laugh.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Kara, his two loving sons, Kody (14) and Dalton (9), his parents David Jockell (Sarah) and Deborah Mitchell (Dwight), his sister, Heather Campos (George), two nieces, Alexis and Mikayla, and his nephew, Landon. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Irma Jockell, Juanita and Earl Yates, and stepdaughter, Karlie Mellick.
Dustin was a devoted dad to his boys, dedicated husband to his wife, and loved them immensely. His loss will leave a large hole in many hearts.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with a burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday 11a.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
