Dustin Nicola was born on March 8, 1981, and passed away June 16, 2023. A lifetime Arizonan, he spent most of his life in Whetstone and Huachuca City. He graduated from Tombstone High School and was the owner of Big D's Furniture in Huachuca City.
Illness took away his ability to live a normal life, but it did not take away his fierce love for his family. He leaves behind his daughter Brooke (Mason), son Landon, granddaughter Maliyah, parents Brent and Michelle, grandmother Helen, uncle Brian, brothers Bryce and Joshua (Heather), sister, best friend and caregiver Rachel, nephews Brent and Joshua, and nieces Janessa and Athena.
There wasn't a bad soul in Dustin's eyes. He would help anyone day or night. He never wanted to see anyone hurt or hurting. He would make jokes, do little jigs and scare us, just anything and everything to make sure that you left his presence with a smile.
There will be a memorial service for Dustin on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11 AM at Tree of Life Christian Fellowship, 2232 North Ocotillo Lane, Whetstone, Arizona. There will be a light luncheon following the service. Light/bright attire is encouraged.
God's Garden
God looked around his garden,
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest;
God's garden must be beautiful-He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain;
He knew you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered,
"Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
For a part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
