Dustin attended Abilene High School in 1998, he was on the Gymnastic Team and played football. He then attended New Mexico Military Institute in 2000, and Hardin Simmons University in 2002. He proudly joined the United States Army and served his county with honor during Operation Iraqi Freedom through 2006. He was in the 11A infantry, his rank, 1st Lieutenant, served in the 81st Brigade combat team, with Washington State, National Guard. Then he attended Helicopter Flight school in Alabama.

For his bravery and dedication, he received several medals of honor including the Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged with the Bronze Star Metal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Metal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Armed forces Reserve Medal W/m Device, Combat Infantryman Badge.

Following his military service, Dustin began a successful career with Siemens Wind Industry, where he worked from 2006-2023 as a Project Manager. His work took him across the country and around the world- including leading wind farm projects as far as Brazil. He began as a Project Manager for Mortenson Wind 2023 until his health began to fail.

In 2023 Dustin was diagnosed with cancer, and though his health limited his work, it never diminished his spirit. He fulfilled his dream of living at West Palm Beach, where he continued with the VA and helped other Veterans, who lived there. He enjoyed the beauty and peace of the coast.

Dustin lived life to the fullest.

He was a loving father, special son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, and loyal friend, and man who believed in making memories. He was a wonderful provider to his two beautiful daughters, Alyssa and Kaylee, whom he loved beyond their measure. He would encourage everyone to "let's take a trip, it doesn't matter where we are going."

Dustin's hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, sports, and most of all, traveling the world. He even built a small hunting "lodge" on the family river site for all to enjoy. He always wanted a big "get together."

Dustin is survived by his parents Don and Beverly Williams, Sister Amanda Chesser, her husband Jarrod Chesser and their 3 boys, Madyx, Colton and John. His two beautiful girls, Alyssa and Kaylee Williams. His grandmother, Maudie Williams, and grandfather James Adams.

He also leaves many other close family members of whom he loved and brothers -in- arms, who have stood by him through every chapter of his life.

Dustin will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, humor, generosity and the unwavering love for his family and country. His legacy lives in all who knew him.

His father and I believe he is no longer suffering and in the arms of Jesus, he once told me "Jesus is his best friend."
