The Hamil Family Funeral HomeWilliam Timothy "Dub" Peacock, 83 of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be 1:00pm before the service. Funeral services, celebration of life, will be held 2:00pm Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Hamil Family Funeral Home with Joel Tobey, Pastor of Denton Valley Baptist Church of Clyde, Tx directing services. Burial will follow at Coleman, Tx, Cemetery with Marine military honors.
Dub was born on June 8, 1942, in Gouldbusk, Tx. to Orene and Timothy Peacock and a proud 10 year old sister Hazel. He attended Coleman High School of Coleman, Tx. He joined the United States Marine Corps at 17. He was a Corporal and Vietnam Veteran. He married Margaret Keeney Peacock on March 20, 1964 in Coleman, Tx. Dub worked in the oilfield, General Dynamics in Ft. Worth as F-111 supervisor. Dub retired from Hendrick Medical Center after 33 ½ years of service on June 8, 2012. Dub was a devoted worker and a very loving husband and father. He was a loving husband, a devoted worker, highly respected. Loved by all, Dub was always a proud Marine and will be deeply missed.
Dub was preceded in death by his 10 year old sister Hazel, his grandfather Charles Woodruff "Chock" Peacock, his father Timothy Goldman Peacock, His grandfather Robert "Bob" Harris and his mother Orene Pearl Peacock.
Dub is survived by his loving wife Margaret Peacock, his son Michael Peacock, honorary sons Thomas Tackett of Albany, Tx. and Johnny Ford Jr. of Abilene, Tx, his granddaughters Kourtney Peacock, Serenity Peacock, Kyleigh Peacock, Savannah Williams, and Haylee Williams, his brother-in-law Kenneth Keeney of Bangs, Tx, and brother and sister-in-law R.D. and Norma Spykes of Abilene, Tx, sisters-in-law Frankie McDaniel of Granbury, Tx, Ann Kostic of Abilene, Tx, Dorothy Bradshaw of San Antonio, Tx, Sheila Keeney of Taft, Tx, and many nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and dear friends.
