Duwain Quintin Weibe, a longtime resident of Severna Park, Maryland, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 1, 2026, at the age of 74. He had recently relocated to Whitinsville, Massachusetts in 2024 with his wife, Cissy (née Claire Fox), to be closer to family.

Born on September 24, 1951 at Fort Meade, MD, Duwain was the son of Arthur and Dorothy Weibe (née Doyle) who preceded him in death, along with his younger brother, Greg Weibe. As part of a United States Air Force family, Duwain’s early life was shaped by frequent moves and diverse experiences. He spent his formative years at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, Tachikawa Air Base in Tokyo, Japan, and at March Air Force Base in Southern California, before eventually settling in Maryland. He graduated from Lansdowne High School and went on to earn a degree from the University of Maryland at College Park, where he was a quarterback on the football team.

In 1975, Duwain married his wife, Cissy, and together they built a rich and loving life over 50 years of marriage. Their early years together brought them to Maryland, Texas, and California before they made Severna Park their home in 1985, a community they cherished for nearly four decades.

Duwain was a proud father and is survived by his wife, Cissy, and three sons: Matthew (Lauren), David, and Aaron (Maritzaida). He was also a devoted grandfather, lovingly known as “Pop Pop” to his six grandchildren: Annalise, Madelyn, Cole, Annika, Landon, and Rita. He was a constant presence in his children’s lives, cheering on Matt and Dave through years of soccer, from the Green Hornets to Bethany College, and supporting Aaron’s music journey at Greensboro College and later with U.S. Air Force Bands. Duwain took great pride in the paths each of his sons pursued.

Duwain was also deeply committed to community service. He served as the volunteer President of the Greater Severna Park Athletic Association (GSPAA) for ten years throughout the 1990s helping to expand the organization and create more opportunities for youth to engage in sports. Duwain was raised in the Lutheran tradition and carried those values of faith, humility, and service throughout his life.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later time.
