Dwaine Lewis Richardson, 56, of
Asheboro, NC, passed away on December 25th, 2025 surrounded by family.
Dwaine was born on November 8th, 1969 in Randolph County. Beloved by so many, Dwaine spent his time on this earth as a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and as a friend. On December 25th, Dwaine returned home to the Lord surrounded by those who loved him and who were always within arms reach. Dwaine spent years working as an entrepreneur in various roles grading, hauling, ripping lumber, painting, and masonry. He found joy in the outdoors and loved fishing, traveling, and spending time on the water, particularly at the beach and at the lake. The true joy of his life was being a father to his two girls.
In 2006, Dwaine was in a car accident that he was not expected to return from, but Dwaine had more for his life still ahead of him. He was able to watch his daughters grow up and be there for all their milestones like first steps, losing a tooth, school concerts, basketball games, beach trips, high school graduations, and college graduations. He loved to laugh, watch movies, loved to read and learn about the Bible, and was a very proud Pack parent.
Dwaine's testimony over the last 20 years showcases his love for his family and appreciation for each and every day. He was a pillar of what it means to demonstrate resiliency in the face of adversity and meet each day graciously with a humble heart. He spent all the rest of his days surrounded by those that he loved, and that loved him, both friends and family. After touching the lives of everyone that he met and showcasing what it means to live a full life, he was able to return and be renewed once again, hand in hand with our savior.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Teresa Richardson, and his two daughters, Savannah and Serenity Richardson.
A private memorial will be held for close friends and family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages your consideration in honoring Dwaine with a charitable donation to the Brain Trauma Foundation online or to an organization of your choice.
