Gregory Ferd Richardson, 66, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on April 29, 1959, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, Gregory lived a life rooted in dedication to his work and enriched by his passions and family connections.
Gregory was a graduate of Strafford High School, where he laid the foundation for a strong work ethic that would carry him through a successful career. He spent many years as a Production Specialist at Kraft Foods, where his commitment and reliability made him a valued member of the team.
Outside of work, Gregory found joy and fulfillment in his hobbies. He was an avid motorcycle rider who appreciated the freedom of the open road. He also practiced Taekwondo, embracing both the discipline and physical challenge it offered.
Gregory was part of a close-knit family. He is remembered with love by his sisters Sandy (John) Nash, Audrey Jones, Marcia (Dave) Coats, and Linda (Larry) Dishman; his brother Keith (Sherri) Richardson; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish their memories of him. He was preceded in passing by his father Ferd Richardson and mother Gennetta Richardson.
There are no formal services planned at this time. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Dishman Cemetery, Strafford, Missouri.
Care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. – DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory, Springfield, Missouri.
