Dwayne R. Jesse

Dwayne Ray Jesse, age 71, of McCook, NE passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his home in McCook.

Dwayne was born September 12, 1952 in McCook to parents Everette Earl and Helen Ardis (Nichols) Jesse. He was one of four children who graduated from high school in Curtis, NE with the Class of 1971.

Early in life, in December 1972, Dwayne married Phyllis Mae (Ratzlaff) Jesse in Pontiac, Michigan. She later passed away. Dwayne remarried Linda (Junker) Jesse on June 10, 2013 in McCook. 

Dwayne worked in the maintenance department at the Community Hospital in McCook. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed shooting pool in the McCook and Indianola Pool Leagues. 

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Phyllis Jesse; brothers, Shorty Jesse and Gary Jesse.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Linda Jesse of McCook, NE; children, Dwayne (Niki) Jesse of Fremont, NE, Steve Jesse of Omaha, NE and Dana (Jeremy) Ackles of Farwell, NE; stepchildren, Mike (Jessica) Junker of Omaha, NE, Matt (Anna) Junker of North Platte, NE and Melissa (Steve) Broomfield of McCook, NE; sister, Deanna Jesse and Mark Foradori of Kearney, NE; sister in laws, Jackie Jesse and Joyce Jesse, both of North Platte, NE; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and five step grandchildren.
