Dwight Brawdy

Dwight E. Brawdy, 79, of Petersburg, Indiana, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on October 29, 2025, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana. Dwight was born on April 16, 1946, in Know County, Indiana to Carl and Essie Mae Brawdy.
Dwight was married to his loving wife, Jan for 56 years, they were married on December 15, 1968. He was an electrician for 35 years and was part of the IBEW Local 1395. He attended the Brenton Chapel Church of Christ in Petersburg. During his retirement he was able to donate his time to the church with his electrical skills when the church moved to its current location. Dwight enjoyed following the stock market, antique cars, to tractors. The one thing he enjoyed the most was going to his grandchildren's sporting events and cheering them on during their achievements. Dwight loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife Jan Brawdy; his children, Scott Brawdy, Amber (Tom) Hensler; his grandchildren, Faryn (Kenn) Hensler, Myra Hensler, Oliva Brawdy (Josh Heuck), and Ethan Brawdy; 1 brother and 3 sisters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Also by his very dear friend that was more like a brother, Tim Beck and all of his close and loving church friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Essie Mae Brawdy; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
A visitation will be held on Sunday November 2, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) at Brenton Chapel Church of Christ in Petersburg, Indiana. A service will begin at 3:00 PM, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana, Tony Sims will officiate.
