Dwight "Ed" Jackson, 70, of Zanesfield, passed away at 2:05 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on September 6, 1955.
Dwight is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Richard Mason; special companion, Vicky Metzler; niece and nephew, Cam (Amy) Winters, and Brandi (Nick) Anderson, and Michael Mason; great nieces and nephews, Grace (Trevor Woodruff) Winters, Reagan and Reese Winters, and Kalli, Piper, and Andi Anderson; best friends, and Dillon and Sara Snapp.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Herd) Edwards.
Dwight served as a U.S. Navy veteran stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. His passions included racing-where he worked as a mechanic on sprint cars-as well as fishing and playing the lottery. He will be fondly remembered and missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
The family extends their gratitude to Universal Home Health and Hospice, as well as Dwight's nurse, Cindy Lowery, for their exceptional care and support.
