Dwight Eddie Morgan was born December 24, 1968 in Hyden, KY. He died January 2, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY surrounded by his family. He was 57 years old.
Dwight was the son of Murile Morgan and Sarah Howard Hoskins. In addition to his parents, he leaves behind the following surviving relatives to mourn his passing. Step mother Elaine Morgan. One son, Dwight Tyler Morgan and Kaitlyn. Two grandsons Miles Tyler Morgan and Max Hudson Morgan. Two brothers Mikel Morgan and Terry Morgan. Three sisters Sherry Morgan, Peggy Morgan Griffin and Randall, and Ashlee Morgan and Danielle.
Special cousins Tony Morgan, Scottie Morgan, Shannon Hacker, and Jeff Hacker. As well as many other loving family members.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Eva Morgan, and Eddie Howard and Mavie Griffith, His step-father Raz Hoskins. As well as an infant brother Ovie.
Dwight was a man of strong Christian faith. He found great joy in God’s creation, especially in the outdoors while hunting, fishing, and gardening. Above all, he cherished time spent with his father, his son, and his grandsons, building a legacy of faith, family, and love that will endure forever.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Tuesday,. January 6, 2026 at the Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY. Funeral services for Mr. Dwight Eddie Morgan will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY with Patrick Morgan, James Bowling, Jr., Jerry Maggard and Jeffery Hacker officiating and Will Arvin reading the obituary. Burial will follow in the Albert Morgan Cemetery at Essie, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Mikel Morgan, Terry Morgan, Randall Griffin, Jeff Hacker, Shannon Hacker and Tony Morgan, Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Morgan, Aaron Morgan, Jason Morgan, Grant Campbell and Brandon Morgan.
