Dwight Wade Wilson, 73, passed away on December 27, 2025 in Canon City, CO. He was born June 21, 1952 Birmingham, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Wilson of Canon City, Colorado (Married October 17, 1999); Misti Kauffman (Russell) and grandchildren, Noah, Jonah, Rebekah, Micah, Elijah and Nehemiah of Grand Forks, North Dakota; Brandi Long (Jarrod) and grandchild, Robert of Peyton, Colorado; Daniel Zimmerman (Eli) of Chicago, Illinois; Katherine Nichols (Rob) and grandchildren, Charlotte and Olivia of Franklin, Tennessee; and brother, C. Perry Wilson (Sherri) Gardendale, Alabama. Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Wilson, and mother, Irene J. Wilson (Wood).

Dwight moved to Colorado in 1998 from Alabama where he had worked for American Cast Iron Pipe Company. He retired in 2018 as a Civilian Machinist on Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dwight was an active member of the Masonic orders he belonged to until recently when Alzheimer's - Dementia slowed him down. He was raised as a Master Mason in Greenhorn Valley Lodge #196 in Colorado City, Colorado which had changed its name to Silver State Lodge and transferred his membership to Lawrence N. Greenleaf Lodge #169 in Denver and had pluraled with Blackhawk Lodge #11, also in Denver. Dwight was a member of Salida Chapter #17 of the Colorado York Rite and Salida Commandery #17. He also belonged to Canon City York Rite Council #5 and was a member of Kincora Council #8 Knight Masons and The Sword of Bunker Hill, Centennial #126. Dwight was a member of The Order of The Amaranth and Served as Royal Patron of Laurel Court #16 in Pueblo, Florence and Monument many times, he was also a Royal Patron at Liberty Court #1 in Denver. Dwight served as Grand Royal Patron of The Grand Court of Colorado Order of The Amaranth in 2017 with HL Mary Keithline. Dwight loved the outdoors and never met a stranger. His Smile, Love and Laughter a will be missed by all!

Services will be held in the spring 2026. In Lieu of gifts or flowers the family has asked that donations be given in Dwight's Name to The Amaranth Diabetes Foundation through the Grand Court of Colorado.
