Dyla "DeNardi" Palczer

Dyla Jean (DeNardi) Palczer, 87, of New Britain, widow of beloved husband, Frank Joseph Palczer, passed away Saturday (November 22, 2025) at The Jerome Home in New Britain. Born in Kansas City, MO, she grew up in Sheffield Lake, OH, with Lake Erie as her backyard. She was the daughter of Jeanette McAlpine DeNardi and Dr. Joseph DeNardi. Dyla traveled the world with her mother as a young woman before meeting Frank and moving to Kensington, where she lived from 1973 until moving to New Britain in 2022. She received an associate's degree from Stephens College for Girls in Columbia, MO. Dyla was employed as a bookkeeper for the former General Equities in Kensington for 27 years. She was a member of Kensington Congregational Church where she has served over the years as a member of the Women's Service League, a former Church Trustee, and Head of the Flower Committee for 10 years. Dyla was also a member of the Kensington Garden Club and the Berlin Junior Women's Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Tyler of Bristol; and Nicole Arnold and her husband Chase of Mattapoisett, MA; two sons, Joseph Palczer and his wife Veronica of Oberlin, Ohio; and Scott Palczer; a brother Joseph DeNardi, Jr. of Medina, OH; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew; her best friend and caregiver of 10 years, Nancy Byrne of Kensington; and her caregiver Enid Arroyo of New Britain. She was recently predeceased by her devoted guardian angel brother, Harold DeNardi, of Coronado, CA.

A memorial service will be held Friday (November 28, 2025) 1:00 PM at Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Ave., Kensington, CT 06037. Burial will be private in West Lane Cemetery, Berlin. There are no calling hours. Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kensington Congregational Church.
