Dylan Ashton Bell

Dylan Bell, 16, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Dylan was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on March 1, 2009. He was the son of Stephen Charles York and Jennifer Bell York. He was a crew member at Dairy Queen in Benton where he was a master blizzard maker. Dylan was proud of being baptized at Impact Church and participated in many mission trips. He was a member of the E-Sports Club at Marshall County High School expressing his love for computers, gaming, and technology. Dylan was also a life-time member of the Mike Miller Bobcats baseball team. Aside from sports and computers, he had a large focus on his academics. He was a member of the Academic Team, as well as an alumnus of both the National Academy of Future Medical Leaders and the National Youth Leadership Forum. Dylan never met a person he did not like; he loved everyone.
He is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Stephen York; sisters, Tracy Leann Benefiel (Blake Mathus), Jasmine Ann Benefiel, and Madeline Izora York; brother, Malachi Charles York; paternal grandparents, Rita and Steve York; uncles, Cody Taylor, Matt Ihle, Richard Thomas, Brian Bell, and Walter Jestes; aunts, Stephanie Ihle, Kara Moyer, "Char" McDermott, and Pam Jestes; as well as many cousins. He was known as "Uncle D" to Liam Gage Hale, Everett Lynn Mathus, and Hudson Lee Mathus.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Michael Lynn Bell, Roxie Anne Bell and Karen Anne Bell.
A funeral service will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
A scholarship in Dylan's memory will be created at a later date for anyone who would like to make a donation.
