Dylan Rasmussen

Dylan Thomas Rasmussen, born on July 24, 1994, in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away tragically on October 19, 2025, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the age of 31. His untimely departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Dylan served his country with honor and distinction as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He was a proud Marine, cherishing the bonds he formed with his fellow servicemen. His dedication to duty was matched only by his commitment to his family.

Married to the love of his life, Deven, Dylan was an amazing husband and a devoted father to his two sons, Jaxson and Axel. He was dedicated to being the best dad he could be, always putting his family first and ensuring that his boys grew up surrounded by love and support.

Outside of his service, Dylan had a passion for adventure and the great outdoors. He found freedom on the open road, riding his motorcycle with the wind at his back. An avid runner, he challenged himself by participating in marathons, always pushing his limits. Dylan also enjoyed hunting and often spoke of his dream to one day hunt a bear.

Dylan was loved by his family and friends, who will remember him not only for his strength and courage but for his kindness and unwavering spirit. He would want us all to remember to care for each other, to lift each other up, and to live life to the fullest. Let us honor Dylan's memory by embracing the joy and enthusiasm with which he lived his life.
