Dylan Michael Spears, beloved husband, daddy, son, brother, and grandson, passed away too soon and unexpectedly at the age of 26 years old on Friday, April 19. 2024. Dylan was a Martinsville resident and was born on Tuesday, May 13, 1997, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Marty Spears and Sue Ellen (Hall) Pedigo.
Dylan was a graduate of Indian Creek High School with the Class of 2016. He was currently enrolled in school for associated builders and contractors. He was employed by Ellis Mechanical in Indianapolis.
To say he was an avid sports fan would be an understatement. He was a fan of the Pittsburg Pirates, University of Kentucky Wildcats, Minnesota Vikings, and the Los Angelas Lakers. He enjoyed playing video games, collecting watches and guns, and playing euchre while enjoying his butterscotch candy. He also loved playing with his daughter, Willow, and Sunday breakfasts at Cracker Barrel, as well as playing basketball with his friends, managing to break his friend's ankles every time.
He leaves behind a host of loving family and many friends including his wife, Taylor (Frye) Spears of Martinsville, whom he married October 31, 2020; his daughter, Willow Faye Spears; father, Marty Spears (wife, Susan Spears of
Danville, Indiana; mother, Sue Ellen Pedigo (husband, Dustin Pedigo) of
Morgantown, Indiana; brother, Marty Spears, Jr. (wife, Jordan) and their children, Everleigh and Greyson of Trafalgar, Indiana; sister, Lela Spears of
Danville, Indiana; step sister, Alexis Pedigo of
Shelbyville, Indiana; mother-in-law and brother-in-law, Natalie Fogleman and Grant Frye of
Martinsville, Indiana; grandfather, McKinley Hall of Kentucky and grandparents, David and Peggy Spears of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by one infant child and his grandmother, Jerlene Hall.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating Dylan's life will be officiated by Chris Flora at 1:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
