E.B. Wallen

Mr. E.B. Wallen, age 94, husband of Orlean Davis Wallen of 169 Alexander Rd., Whitmire, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Mr. Wallen was born in Blackwater, VA, July 23, 1931, a son of the late Evan and Betty Wallen. He was a graduate of Whitmire High School and retired after 27 years from Milliken and Co. Mr. Wallen was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where he worked in the Children’s ministry, served on the Building and Grounds committee and was an Usher.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 53 years, Orlean, are a son, Brian Wallen and wife Angie of Rock Hill; two step sons, Ronnie “Bird” Arthur and wife Carolyn and Kenny Arthur and wife Cheryl all of Union; and a sister, Leo Bumgardner of Whitmire. He is also survived by grandchildren, Travis Arthur and wife Lindsey, Stacy Farr and husband Tee, Michael Wallen, Jenna Parris, Stephen Wallen, Eric Wallen and Mark Wallen; and a number of great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Mike Wallen; a sister, Birtie Hammond and a step brother, Eugene Wallen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Guy Langston and Rev. Todd Johnson. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services.

The family will be at the home, 169 Alexander Rd., Whitmire.
