E. O. Joyner was born October 25, 1944 in Finger, TN, the son of the late Oscar Joyner and Lueela Williams Joyner. He departed this life on January 29, 2024 in Finger, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 3 Months, 4 Days.
He was united in marriage to Lynda Ann on January 16, 1963. Mrs. Joyner preceded him in death on November 1, 2022.
Mr. Joyner began working at Brown Shoe Company before eventually finding his true passion in the upholstery business. He worked for Baker's upholstery in Jackson and then started his own company, Joyner's Upholstery were he skillfully worked on enhancing the interiors of classic cars as well as providing adept furniture coverings.
Mr. Joyner was a member of Finger Church of Christ, Finger coon club and the Finger Election Committee. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, squirrel hunting and taking care of his cows. He loved helping children and giving candy to the kids. he loved classic cars and enjoyed working on them. He loved driving his convertible around town. Above all Mr. Joyner loved his family.
He is survived by a son, Ernest Steven Joyner and companion Lisa King; a daughter, Kristen Michelle Joyner and companion Tony Dunaway all of Finger, TN; three grandchildren: Caleb Ernest Joyner, Dalton Connor, Gage Connor; a brother, Paul Joyner of Jackson, TN; sister-in-law, Violet Joyner; nieces and nephews: Jeffery Joyner, Will Joyner, Tyler Joyner, Joy Joyner, Tony Joyner and Dorothy Johnson.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Joyner was preceded in death by three brothers: J. L. Joyner, Jackie Joyner and Charles Joyner.
