E. Everett (Ozzie) Ousterman, of Weeki Wachee, FL, formerly of Langhorne, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. He was 97 years old.
Born in Cranford, NJ, he was the son of the late E. Everett, Sr. and Hazel Ousterman. Ozzie dutifully and honorably served our country in the United States Army Air Corp as an Airplane Electrical Mechanic. He would go on to receive several decorations – The American Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and World War II Service Medal.
Upon leaving the military, Ozzie established a career as a Union Electrician and Realtor. Hardworking and dedicated to his profession, Ozzie also found time to give of himself to his community. He served as President of the Double Eagle Coin Club for 17 years, notably established "Land of Oz" in the Mountains of Woolwine, VA (the locals used to call it Oustermanville!), was a former member of Scottsville UMC, and member of the Freemasons Lodge #427 based out of Newtown, PA.
Ozzie's wife of 72 years, L. Patricia, preceded him to heaven. He is survived by his 4 loving children: Pamela Ousterman and Sherry Ogle of Weeki Wachee, FL, Deborah deValk, and her late husband, Norman deValk, of Yardley, PA, Keith and Ricki Lynn Ousterman of Trinity, NC, and Steven and Susan Ousterman of Bensalem, Pa. He was the beloved grandfather to 5: Robert, Jamy Noel and her husband, Danny, Tyler, Kyle and Melanie, and Ryan and Kylee; great-grandfather to 5: Deborah, Dori P, Jordan, Ashley, and Brianna; and great-great-grandfather to 8: Mason, Kaden, TJ, Joshua, Isabella, Lillyanna, Jacquelyn, and Melody.
Family and friends are invited to Ozzie's Life Celebration at Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home, 378 South Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 11:00-11:30am. A Masonic Funeral Service will follow immediately afterward at 11:30am.
Interment, with full military honors, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, at 1:30pm.
