Earl Leslie Alvarez

Earl Leslie Alvarez – 78 Passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Starke, Florida on September 7, 1934 to the late Britt and Annie Alvarez. He graduated from Bradford High School in Starke, Florida where he was an all American football player. He played in the Gator Bowl on the North-South Team in 1954. He graduated from Georgia Military Academy to enter Georgia Tech to play football. He became diabetic and had to decline. He owned Alvarez Concrete Services and retired in 2000 due to a heart attack. He appreciated very much all his customers. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tia Elizabeth Alvarez who passed away in 1997. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Elizabeth Alvarez and son, Earl Truett Alvarez.
