EARL E. BARRETT
Earl E. Barrett, 85, Sturgeon, MO passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Berryton, KS. He was born April 11, 1940, in Paragould, AR, the son of the late Estel and Mamie (Montgomery) Barrett. On April 28, 1961, he was united in marriage to Ruth Louise Ritchie. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2008.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons Kevin Barrett and his wife Danielle of Ft. Smith, AR, Ritchie Barrett and his wife Tanya of Berryton, KS and Clint Barrett and his wife Tami of New Bloomfield, MO; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Earl worked as a machinist for the Dalton Research Center at the University of Missouri. Later he owned and operated Barrett Manufacturing until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, building things, traveling, buying on purple wave auction and spending time with his friends and family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Sturgeon Christian Church in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Sturgeon Christian Church in Sturgeon, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sturgeon Christian Church, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
