Earl Kenneth Blakely, a beloved father and husband who touched the lives of many, passed away on February 16, 2024. He was a dedicated professor for 49 years at Grambling State University, where his passion for education inspired countless students. E.K. also proudly served in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to his country.
Known for his fun-loving personality, E.K. brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His kindness and warmth will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of E.K. will be held at the Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory in Dallas, Texas, with visitation on February 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on February 24, 2024, at Graceland Community Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas, starting at 4:00 PM. Graveside service on Sunday February 25, 2024 2:00 PM at Grambling Memorial Cemetery in Grambling, Louisiana
E.K.'s legacy will live on in the memories of those he cherished and those who cherished him. May he rest in peace.
