Earl Cannon, 75, of Abbeville, husband of Brenda Brock Cannon, died Monday, July 28, 2025, at his home. He was born in Abbeville to the late Harvey F. and Annie Lee Smith Cannon.

A graduate of Abbeville High School, Class of 1968, Earl retired from Covidien Medical Products with 45 years of dedicated service. A true farmer at heart, he spent countless hours farming and tending to his cows. Earl was a family man who held his family close to his heart, particularly his grandchildren, who were the lights of his life. He worshipped at New Hope Baptist Church in Due West, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Cannon and his brother, Bobby Cannon.

Earl is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda, of the home; two daughters, Julie Branyon (Ryan) of Abbeville, SC and Emily C. Page (Bennie) of Lufkin, TX; five wonderful grandchildren, Jeffery, Colton, Blake, Adalee and Case; brother, Glenn Cannon; two nephews, Mark and David Cannon; and his beloved fur babies, Chloe and Oliver.

The family will receive friends 3:00PM – 4:00PM, Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Earl, may be sent to New Hope Baptist Church, PO Box 236, Due West, SC 29639.
