Earl Franklin "Frank" Evans, age 96 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2025, just a few hours before his 97th birthday. He was born on January 24, 1928, in Rockwood. He was a member of North Rockwood Baptist Church and the "McDonald's Breakfast Club" with all of his buddies. Frank was a lifetime Vols fan and a huge supporter of anything associated with the University of Tennessee. He retired from the Roane Electric Furnace as a tap helper. Frank was also a huge Donald Trump supporter. He is preceded in death by parents: Jack & Mamie Evans; wife: Margaret Irene Evans; Daughter: Melissa "Missy" Hamilton; Step-Son: James Ausburn; son-in-law: Gary Dowker; brothers: Jim, Bob, Howard, Ray "Claude", Edward, and George. He is survived by:
Daughters: Judy Evans Dowker, Jill Evans Kennedy (Allan)
Son: John Warren Evans (Yuliya)
Grandchildren: Jeremy Kennedy (Tamara), Jennifer Hensley (Toby), Jonathan Kennedy (Sabrina), Sarah Jane Torres (Robert), Maria Joy Evans, Alicia Beth Hamilton, April Nicole Berry (Josh), Marina Warren, John W. Warren, Mary E. Warren, Joshua Warren

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm ET with Bro. Dudley Evans and Chaplain Bruce K. Foster officiating. Graveside and interment services will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Earl Franklin "Frank" Evans.
