Meredith Elayne Brown, 39 years old from Rockwood, TN, passed away February 3, 2026, at Roane Medical Center with her Husband by her side. She was born May 30, 1986, to her parents, Pamela and Richard “Wayne” Bowman. Meredith married Joshua Edward Brown on July 8, 2017.
Meredith is survived by her loving husband Joshua Brown and her loving daughter Amelia Brown. Her Mother Pamela Bowman of Saltillo, Mississippi; Brother James McClurkin (Renee) of Tupelo, Mississippi; Mother-in-law Tammy Golliher (Timothy) of Rockwood, Tennessee; Father-in-law Edward Brown (Melissa) of Yale, Illinois; and several Sister and Brother in laws, and many Nieces and Nephews. Meredith was preceded in death by her father Richard “Wayne” Bowman and Grandparents Jimmy and Cathryn Gilmore.
Meredith graduated from John Carroll Catholic High school, and later attended Jefferson State Junior College in Birmingham, Alabama and Wallace State College in Hanceville, Alabama. Meredith loved spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoyed doing Arts and crafts with her daughter Amelia. Meredith was an avid sports fan she loved the Tennessee Vols and watching professional basketball. Meredith enjoyed being a member of her church the Second Baptist church of Rockwood. She will Always be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and daughter.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Graveside and interment service will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, at 2:00 pm ET in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Meredith Elayne Brown.
