Earl Ray Hamby, 64 of Walnut Ridge, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his residence. He was born on November 30, 1961, to Franklin "Bud" and Lily (Holt) Hamby in Orlando, Florida. He was united in marriage to Jenny Hart on January 11, 2026, in Walnut Ridge. Earl was a farmhand who loved the outdoors, fishing, wrestling, and proudly served in the Army/National Guard with the 875th Division. He was of the Christian belief.

Earl was preceded in death by his father, Franklin "Bud"; his first wife, Sherry Hamby, and his second wife, Becky Hamby; father and mother in law, Jesse and Cheryl Hart; step sister Joyce Ann Brindley, and one niece and two nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Hamby of the home; mother, Lily Noles of Sedgwick; sisters, Michelle Segraves (Bobby) of Walnut Ridge, and Bonnie Winkles of Trumann; brothers Robert Holt (Belinda) of Trumann, and Ronnie Holt (Lisa) of Trumann; niece, Morgan Ditto (Layne), and nephew Kyle Smith (Macie), as well as many more nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces, Jules and Navy Ditto.

Burial will be private under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Lomax, Joe Adams, Ronnie Stevens, Nic Stevens, John Parker, and Ricky Winkles Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Segraves, Larry Cook, and David Cook.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Elite Hospice, especially Earl's nurses, Mikayla, Valerie, and Donna, for the compassionate and excellent care they provided.
