Earl Clifton Houston Jr.
(Butch, Butchie Boy)
A Son, brother, father, grand-father, uncle and friend departed this life on February 8, 2025.
Butch was the 2nd child and only son born to the union of Earl C. Houston Sr. and Verley Mae (Wallace) Houston, on May 2, 1953, in Austin, Texas.
Butch attended Blackshear Elementary, Kealing Jr High, and Stephen F. Austin High School, in Austin, Texas.
After High School he was employed by Coca Cola, City of Austin, and Frostex/Kraft Frozen Foods. Later, "manicuring" lawns with his father as partner of Earl's Lawn Service. His favorite past time was watching sports on television, and playing dominoes.
Butch accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev L.R. Kelly, New Bethel Baptist Church, later uniting with Solid Rock Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. T. L. Sneed.
Butch loved his family and friends, especially little sister (Carolyn Baker), who he taught to shoot marbles, climb trees, ride bikes and mow lawns.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents (Earl C. Houston Sr. and Verley M. Houston,
Sisters(Connie Houston-Birchett, Mary Houston-Thompson, and Betty Houston-Clark) and niece (Nicole Halcomb).
Butch leaves to cherish his memories; 4; sons Earl C. Houston III, David, Charles, James
(Breanna); six grand-daughters; 3 nieces Marche' Baker, Letricia (Johnny), Cessna Jones; 5 nephews Ronnie, Monwell Hll, Charles Hill, Clifton Hill, and Mark Maxwell; step-sister Vickie (Houston), adopted brother (Joe Williams) and a host of great nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
"Now I lay me down to sleep, and pray the Lord my soul to keep."
