On Saturday, August 17, 2024, Earl Ingram, loving husband, father, and grandpa, passed away peacefully at the age of 82. Earl was born in Henry County, Virginia on June 21, 1942 to the late Dossie and Elzic Ingram. He was the youngest of nine children, brother to Jimmie Ingram and Helen Smart, and six siblings who have passed away before him, Eunice Wiltsey, Daniel Ingram, Thomas Ingram, Robert Ingram, Minnie Large, and George Ingram. In 1986 he married the love of his life, Patricia O'dey, and proudly took on the role of Dad to children, Wendy (Michael) Barnett, and Harry Culpepper III. He was a proud Grandpa to 11 grandchildren: Jeff (Becky) Sanders, Amber (Shawn) Woyer, Amanda (Casey) Staylor, Brittney (Phillip) Ostrander, Harry (Abigail) Culpepper IV, Brittany Jeys, Michael Jeys, Ryan Jeys, Alex Barnett, Michael Culpepper, and Cassidy Denoto. Great Grandpa to 14 great-grandchildren. He had many nieces and nephews that he adored and spent much time with.
At the age of 82, Earl continued to still work almost every day. He had a love of cars, and owned racecars (Lucky #29) and wreck yards for many years. He loved to play the lottery, golf, and watch the Redskins games. His real passion was the Lord and his faith. In his final days, as he hugged his grandchildren goodbye, he asked each of them if they had their life right with the lord. You could always hear him singing his favorite gospel songs around the house, he joyfully sang in the choir at church, and he would always quote bible verses to you when you were going through a challenging time. He never went to bed without a big glass of ice milk. He will always be remembered by his giving heart, how much he spoiled all his many grand and great-grandchildren, his love of blue grass, and the devoted husband he was. Earl is now back with the love of his life, Pat and is at home in the arms of the lord.
