Sunbury – Earl Leroy Klingman, Sr., 96, formerly of 725 Chestnut Street, Apt 606, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
Born in Sunbury on February 24, 1929 to the late Leroy L. and Ruth (Kimble) Klingman. He served in the United States Army in the frontlines during the Korean War.
On October 20, 1952, he married Irma Jean Mantz, his devoted and loving wife, who preceded him in death. He worked as a farmer and mechanic. Earl was active in the area’s veterans’ affairs, a member and served as a Commander at both the Sunbury VFW and the American Legion. He was a member of Catawissa Ave United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
Earl was gifted with incredible memory and ability to talk to anyone on many subjects and reminisce. Earl always showed compassion for animals. Thank you to Sunbury Skilled Nursing staff and Compassus staff, for your incredible care.
Earl is survived by a son, Earl Klingman Jr., of Millersburg; four daughters, Penny Mantz Hagenbuch of Danville, Cynthia Lee Fegley and her husband, Alan of Sunbury, Ginger Spicher and her husband, Dean of Fearnot, and Kandy Klingman of Lewisburg; 13 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Earl was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Klingman; a son, Randy Klingman; three grandchildren, Joshua, Dana, and Justin; and his brother, Joseph Klingman and wife, Stella, and Clinton Klingman and his wife, Dorothy.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being cared for by Gotlob-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 539 Race Street, Sunbury, PA, James R.
