David John Patrick, 73, of Sunbury, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at his residence.
Born in Shamokin on July 24, 1952, he was the son of the late Leonard and Florence (Mick) Patrick. David graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 1970. He was the proud owner of Patrick’s Autoworks and worked as a mechanic for more than 25 years, becoming well known throughout the community.
On October 6, 1973, in Mount Carmel, he married Barbara Namas, who survives. David was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Church in Trevorton and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Danielle O’Rourke, and her fiancé, Tracy Hurne; his son, David S. Patrick, and his fiancée, Aniline Veazey; three granddaughters, Alana Wolfe and her husband, Cody, Molly O’Rourke, and Kara O’Rourke and her fiancé, Cody Hunt; one great-grandson, John Wolfe; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Delorso; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leonard Patrick and Anthony Delorso.
In his later years, David enjoyed the excitement of Atlantic City, sharing memorable moments with his close friends and family. He cherished his faith, valued his family and friends above all else, and left everyone who knew him with a great story to tell. As a running joke he was referred to as the Polish Prophet.
