I just heard of Earl's passing today, and it has saddened my heart. The last time i spoke to him in 2018, he said he moved back to North Carolina. He said it was warmer than Avon Connecticut where he lived prior so he moved back to the warm climate. I met Earl in 1994 when I started working at GMAC. Earl was always polite, a true gentleman, he alway had a kind word and he could be funny at times. My heart goes out to his family and all the people who knew and miss him. RIP Earl.

I only learned of Earls passing today and was so sad to hear of this great loss. I worked with Earl for many years and he was truly a pleasure to know and work with. Such a wonderful person and truly a professional at all times. He was a positive influence to all and always exhibited such grace and confidence in his interactions with others. I send my belated condolences to his family. The world will not be the same....

Mr. Manley was my supervisor when I worked in the leasing department in Garden City. He always had a positive attitude and I enjoyed working for him. He was a gentleman who treated everyone with dignity and respect. I am sorry that he passed away at such a young age. My sympathy to his family and friends.

I'm stunned and saddened by this. Earl and I crossed paths a number of times over the years, starting in Lexington, Mass with his promotional transfer, then in Woburn, Mass and finally in Garden City, NY. He was a true gentleman and a great wit - lots of laughs over the years. He spoke very fondly of his family and I am sure he is greatly missed.

Chris, cannot begin to tell you how deeply saddened I am hearing of Earl's passing. I just found out today. We lost touch after GMAC but know he was never forgotten. He was my boss in NY branch and again in Garden City. He wasn't just my boss, he was a friend; one of the good guys. My heartfelt condolences to you and family.

I didn't grow up with a Dad in the household. I often gravitated to my uncles, older cousins, my husband and college professors when it came to learning certain things in life from a males perspective. Mr. Earl also taught me many lessons over the years. He was there to give guidance when needed and would correct my grammar and pronunciation even when i didn't like it, lol. Mr. Earl taught me a new word daily and when i didn't know the definition, I was required to pull it up on google and get back with him by the end of day- I had to use the word in a sentence lol. Earl always wore a smile and knew how important it was for us to live for a designed purpose- to treat all people kind and to take nothing for granted. We will forever miss you Mr. Earl.
To the family: Thank you for sharing this gift on earth with us. I pray for your hearts and healing. I send my heart to the grandchildren he often talked about and love dearly- you all were even on his screensaver at work :). May his good memories last with you all forever and ever. Amen

No Gentleman in my department had a better sense of humor and a better knack for throwing shade than Earl did. I will also always remember how he personally walked by my desk when I first started to come out of training to introduce himself. It made no difference whether you were a brand new employee or had been with the company for several years; Earl treated everybody with the same level of respect, and his spirit will always live on in our department.

Earl, I miss you already. You were such a pleasure to work with. Even though we have never even met, for the past 4 years, you have helped me on so many occasions and I looked forward every day to speaking to you. This is such a great loss and you will forever be missed.
