Mr. Earl Harry Miller, III of Port Jervis, NY died Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center, after a short illness. He was 57.
He was born May 29, 1967 in Ramapo, NY the son of the late Earl Harry Miller, Jr. and the late Theresa Maria Maurizi Miller.
Earl married Jean M. Galligan 37 years ago on July 18, 1987 in St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis, NY.
He was the Store Manager for Berthiaume's Neversink Lumber Co., Inc. in Port Jervis, NY.
Earl was a member of Cropsey Creek Hunting Club and the Elks Lodge BPOE #645, Port Jervis, NY
A family statement read: "Earl was known by many names "Dad, Brother Earl, Early bird, Earl the Pearl, Soprano, but his favorite was being called Papa Earl". Earl loved nothing more than spending time with his family. His favorite things to do included hosting and cooking for family and friends, snowmobiling and quading in Boonville, floating down the Delaware, hunting in Oakland Valley, and enjoying time spent on the deck at 15 Paradise Road. Those that knew him best described him as one of the hardest working, generous, and selfless people that they had ever met."
Surviving are: Wife: Jean Miller at home. His 3 sons: Nicholas Miller and his wife Kristen of Montague, NJ; Christopher Miller and his wife Michelle of Utica, NY and Daniel Miller of Port Jervis, NY. His sister: Michelle Stockdale; Sister-in-law: Joanne Miller; Sister-in-law: Marianne Ramos and her husband Ignacio; 3 Brothers-in-law: Vincent Galligan, Jr., Joseph Galligan and his wife Lisa and Shawn Galligan and his wife Candice. His 2 beloved grandchildren: Maggie Miller and Remi Miller. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Earl Miller, Jr. & Theresa Miller; his brothers, Eddie Miller & Michael Miller; his Mother & Father-in-law, Kathleen & Vincent Galligan, Sr., and his sister-In-Law, Suzanne Galligan.
A visitation will be at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 with a 9:00am prayer at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY with Rev. Anthony Giacona officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
