Chris Anthony Hernandez

Chris Anthony Hernandez, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, passed away tragically on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was only 30 years old.

Born on February 28, 1995, in Bronx, NY, Chris was the beloved son of Manuel and Lissette Hernandez. He attended Port Jervis High School and went on to become a skillful and passionate mechanic. As the proud owner and operator of NYC Auto Repair in Milford, PA, Chris was known not only for his talent but also for his generosity in sharing his knowledge. He mentored many, always eager to help others understand and care for their vehicles. His love for cars extended beyond work-he enjoyed attending car shows and anything involving motors.

Above all, Chris was a devoted father, son, brother, and uncle. He was wholly dedicated to his three beloved children, whom he cherished beyond words. His free time was always centered around his kids, showering them with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Though short in stature, Chris was larger than life. His energy, compassion, and loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Chris is survived by his three children, Ishmael Levi, Xiomara October, and Xylia Hernandez; his parents, Manuel and Lissette Hernandez; his brother, Nathaniel David Hernandez; his paternal grandfather, Manuel Hernandez Sr.; his uncle, Rafael Dilan; his aunt, Beverly Gerena; his cousin, Frankie Gerena; and his loving girlfriend, Bre Reilly. He also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Rafael E. Dilan and Nelba Torres, and his paternal grandmother, Ruth Maria Benitez.

Chris's spirit, kindness, and fierce love for his family will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 7:00pm at the funeral home.

Cremation will be at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
