Earl F Pryor born April 29, 1940 age 84 passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Maydelle, Tx.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Boss" and Tilda Ford Pryor of Maydelle, TX. His wife of 39 years Saundra Kay Buckelew Pryor, 8 brothers Richard, Ed, Melvin, Web, Bill, Phillip, Paul and Pete and 1 sister Elsie. Left to cherish his memory are sister Edith Appelt, 4 sons Tony Pryor, James Pryor, Kevin Pryor and wife Sandra of Flint, Tx. And Tracy Pryor and wife Nikki of Jacksonville, Tx. 14 grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He had a strong faith in the Lord and was full of knowledge.
He retired after 25 years from Kelly Springfield, Tyler, TX in 1993.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and canning. You could catch him on any given day sitting in his barn or riding his side by side down by the river and enjoying nature.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
A visitation will be at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk, Tx. On Monday January13, 2025 at 1:00 pm where you are invited to come and spend time with the family and share memories. The funeral service will directly follow at 2:00pm. Officiating will be Rev. Jack White. Earl will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Maydelle, TX under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandson Kevin Pryor Jr., William Hogue, Tommy Hammons, Danny Paul Dowling, Charles Russell and Phillip Brent.
Honorary Pallbearer, close neighbor & friend Kevin Tankersley.
The Pryor Family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who came by to check on our Dad, called, sent food and prayed for him.
