James E. Pryor and Luella Pryor. Jimmy departed his life on September 26, 2025 at
2:40pm at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah Kentucky.
Jimmie was a member of the Israelite Bible Class. He had multiple jobs throughout his
life, most notably machine operator.
Jimmie was proceeded in death by his parents (James and Luella Pryor), one brother
(Bernard Pryor) and four nephews (Michael E Pryor, Jr. Richard "PJ" Lee Pryor, Jr.,
Corey Pryor and Eric Balentine)
He leaves to mourn his passing a wife: Rosa Gosa of Pulaski, IL; two sons: Jimmy
(Sonya) Brown and Quinton (Sherrell) Pryor both of Chicago, IL ; four daughters: Venus
Pryor of Mounds, IL; Kim (Lee) Harper of Champaign, IL; Linda Gosa and Sandy Gosa
both of Pulaski, IL; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three brothers:
Michael (Deborah) Pryor of Cape Girardeau, MO; Alfred Pryor of Tamms, IL and
Richard Pryor of Carbondale, IL; three sisters: Zenobia Newcomb of Ullin, IL; Deborah
Pryor of Powder Springs, GA and Flora Jones of Covington, TN. Also surviving are a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Services for Jimmie Lee Pryor will be held on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Illinois at 1:00 pm with Rev. Alvis Pryor officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in the Ullin Westside Cemetery. Professional services and care have been Entrusted to Massie Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be left at massiefuneralhome.com
