Earl R. Tilberg, age 100, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away peacefully in his sleep at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids, on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial rites will be held following the funeral service at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids.

Earl was born on March 9, 1925 in Duluth, MN to the late Arnold and Ethal (Leach) Tilberg. He married EvaMae Clark on November 26, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. He attended school in Duluth, MN. Earl enlisted in the United State Army and served from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946 in Europe and Asiatic operations during World War 2. Earl was a proud recipient of the "Quilt of Valor". Also received a 100 year old birthday tribute from the Department of Veterans Affairs for his service. Earl was an electrician by trade. During his career he took pride in constructing and installing electrical systems to many football fields all over the region. In his spare time, Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to the casino, playing cards, solving crossword puzzles, taking trips up north and going on fishing trips to Canada. In his last few years, Earl loved taking daily drives to watch wildlife and check in on his swans at Mengels Marsh, as well as playing BINGO with BINGO Nancy and BINGO Bob.

Earl is survived by his 2 children, June (Steve) Trautschold, and Dennis (Robyn Drollinger) Tilberg; 6 grandchildren, Ben, Molly (Dave), Brian, Dan, Brandyn, and Coltyn; 5 great-grandchildren, Declynn, Makenna, Reid, Gavin, and Bennet; great-great-grandson, Crosby; special friend, Denise Wosick; as well as the entire Kizewski family for years of friendship.

Earl is preceded in death by his wife, EvaMae Tilberg; parents; and brothers Arnold Tilberg, and Robert Ghiloni.

Earl's family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at Our House Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for the kindness and care of Earl and support to the family.

For many years as I was growing up, Earl, Eva May, June and Dennis would visit Print and Nellie Coon. Earl was usually quietly enjoying the card games and fellowship while we kids played outside. John and I were happy to have Earl check the electrical work on our home when it was new.
