Earlean Thompson affectionately known as "Big E" was born to the union of the late Clyde Priester and Daisy Thompson on February 26, 1937, in Blacksville, South Carolina.
She entered eternal life on Monday, September 23, 20224 in the comfort of her home in Middletown, Delaware.
Earlean was educated in South Carolina and migrated to New York City in 1955 where she pursued her career in Electronics where she worked for many companies: Eico, Bulova, and Unisys Corp. After retiring she focused on caring for children.
Earlean became a foster parent for the City of New York, Little Flower, and St. Christopher Ollie agencies. She cared for over one hundred children.
Earlean was preceded in death by her beloved one and only son Senior Chief Clyde Thompson and eleven siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter and caretaker Brenda Anne Thompson, 2 granddaughters Dr. Lelieth Thompson and Kimberly Thompson 2 grandsons; Akim Howard and Clyde Thompson Jr. one great grandson Isaiah Howard: daughter in law Patricia Thompson: best friend Bessie Marston and host of foster children, nieces, nephews and friends.
