Earlene Crenshaw Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana on Jul. 3, 2024.
Into His eternal, loving embrace, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, welcomed his faithful and precious child, Earlene Crenshaw, on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Earlene was born March 20, 1935, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Joe Edgar Martin and Vera Lometa Martin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wiley Major Crenshaw, Jr., her parents, brother, dearest daughter-in-law, and her heart's truest furry companion, Dixie. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Karen Rowlands, Paula McClure and husband Joe, and Gary Johnson. She is also survived by her three adoring grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Earlene's life was enriched by a deep affection for crafting and creativity, and an enduring reverence for nature, especially the beauty of flowers, which she cultivated with tender devotion. Yet, it was her outpouring of love for others that will resonate most deeply. Of these gifts, the most notable was her remarkable capacity for relationship, finding joy in meeting others and building meaningful connection. It was in her presence that you knew value, warm embrace, and the true nature of God's unconditional and never-ending love.
Earlene's life will be honored in private celebration. Two charities held special significance in her heart; expressions of sympathy may be made in memorial to the Corsicana Animal Shelter or the Texas Baptist Children's Home.
A memorial service will be held on August 3, 2024 at Rose Hill Pavilion in Blooming Grove, Texas at 10:30 am.

I remember going to Uncle Jr and Aunt Earlene's as a kid and being outside with her with her flowers. She introduced me to honeysuckle lol. She was an amazing woman. We miss her dearly. We love you Aunt Earlene.
