Earlene Stephens, 84, passed away peacefully on 29 June 2023, in Raleigh, NC. Her mother was the Ms. Lura Bullock Price and was born in Pulaski County, KY.
Earlene lived a life filled with love, compassion, and cherished memories. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for her family, friends, and community.
Throughout her life, Earlene accomplished many remarkable achievements. She excelled in working as an executive assistant and clerk. Her dedication and hard work at the Cincinnati Treasurer office made a lasting impact and garnered respect from colleagues and peers.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Earlene had a deep love of cooking and serving the church. She found solace and joy in serving others at the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and later the Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church.
Whether it was traveling and seeing new places she always approached life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.
Earlene will be remembered for her warmth, caring nature and sense of wonder. Her compassionate nature touched the lives of many, and she always went above and beyond to lend a helping hand or provide comfort to those in need.
Earlene is survived by her husband of 63 years Judson, children Mark (Deborah), David Hobson (Irene), and grandchildren Jonathan, Madeline, Katie, Samuel and Abby, and great grandchild Sophia. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, mother and Nana.
The memory of Earlene will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will inspire generation to come.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Earlene Stephens will be held on Saturday 8 July, 1 p.m. at the Fuquay-Varina Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Parkinson Foundation as Earlene Stephens held a special place in her heart for their mission.
