Earlene Syers White

Earlene Syers White, age 83 of Sturgis, KY passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Valhalla Post Acute in Louisville, KY. She was born May 7, 1942 to Earl and Jennie Syers in Sturgis, KY. She was a homemaker and later retired from the Union County Public Schools after nearly 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, gardening, and loved all animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Jennie Syers; daughter Elizabeth Anne Crowdus; son Edwin Earl White; sister Mary Ann Rutherford.

Survivors include

Daughters – June White of Louisville, KY; Jennifer Mayberry (James) of Morganfield, KY

Grandchildren – Joe Clay Crowdus (Rachael); Taylor, Elizabeth, and Barrett Mayberry of Morganfield.

Great Grandchildren – Malachi, Ezra, and Uriah Crowdus

Funeral service will be at 11AM Saturday, August 9th at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY. Bro Jeff Paris officiating.

Visitation will be from 9AM until service time Saturday, August 9th at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY.

Burial will be at Pythian Ridge Cemetery.
